Service overview

The right service starts with a clear description

The exact execution depends on table type, size, construction, condition, location and desired outcome. You do not need to know the technical solution yourself. Describe your concern and upload informative photos.

Poolplayer structures the request so suitable providers can better estimate the effort and prepare a transparent quote.

Transport and Relocation 02
Service area

Transport and relocation

Secure dismantling, protected transport and precise reassembly.

A pool table is not transported as a single piece of furniture. It is professionally dismantled, documented, protected and moved using suitable lifting and transport equipment. At the destination, it is fully reassembled.

Typical procedure

  1. 1Planning of route, access points, helpers and vehicle size
  2. 2Labelling and documented dismantling of all components
  3. 3Protection of slate, frame, cushions and surfaces
  4. 4Transport using a trolley, carrying aids and transport securing
  5. 5Reassembly, levelling and final play testing

Typical scope of services

  • Professional dismantling and reassembly
  • Protective materials and transport securing
  • Coordination of special access requirements
  • Readjustment at the destination
Important: Slate beds are heavy and fragile. Stairs, narrow passages or lack of lifts must be declared in advance.

Cloth Replacement 03
Service area

Cloth Replacement

Smooth re-cover with appropriate cloth quality and clean tensioning.

The cloth affects speed, control, durability and appearance. Before re-covering the playing surface is inspected and prepared. The new cloth is then applied evenly and without tension.

Typical procedure

  1. 1Selection of cloth type, quality, colour and playing characteristics
  2. 2Removal of the old cloth and cleaning of the playing surface
  3. 3Inspection of seams, unevenness and slate surface
  4. 4Even cutting and professional stretching
  5. 5Check of roll behaviour, rails and pocket areas

Typical scope of services

  • Advice on cloth qualities
  • Dismantling and disposal by arrangement
  • Re-covering the playing surface
  • Final inspection
Important: Pool, snooker and carom cloths differ significantly. Table type and desired playing behaviour must match the cloth selection.

Clean edges, even tension and precise pocket areas.

Rail refurbishment requires exact tensioning, neat transitions and properly finished pocket openings. The cushions are removed, inspected and re-covered with the appropriate cloth.

Typical procedure

  1. 1Dismantling and labelling of the rails
  2. 2Removal of the old covering and inspection of components
  3. 3Preparation of wood, rubber, edges and pocket areas
  4. 4Precise cutting and even re-covering
  5. 5Assembly and check of appearance and ball reaction

Typical scope of services

  • Rail dismantling

Important: For hardened or damaged cushions, a new cloth alone is not sufficient. In this case, a replacement is additionally recommended.

Replace Cushion Rubber 05

Even rebound through correct profiles and proper bonding.

Hardened, detached or incorrect cushion rubbers cause slow and uneven responses. Profile, height, angle and bonding are checked and renewed to suit the table system.

  2. 2Selection of a suitable pool, snooker or carom profile
  3. 3Removal of old rubbers and adhesive residue

Important: K55, K66, K79 and snooker profiles are not freely interchangeable. Selection depends on the table's construction and geometry.

Frequently asked questions

Important answers before you send your request

Do I need to know the manufacturer and model of my table?

No. Helpful are photos of the whole table, the substructure, the pockets and any nameplate. From these you can often deduce the construction type.

Can I combine several services in one request?

Yes. For a relocation, for example, you can request transport, reassembly, new cloth and cushion rubbers together.

Who decides which works are technically necessary?

The provider reviews the details and explains in the quote which steps are necessary or optional. If the damage is unclear, an on-site inspection may be required.

Are material costs shown separately?

A transparent quote should clearly distinguish labour, travel, materials and any additional costs.

Can a price be binding based on photos alone?

For clearly defined standard services this is often possible. Hidden damage, difficult access or unknown constructions may, however, require an adjustment.

Is the platform itself the executing tradesman?

Poolplayer forwards structured enquiries to suitable providers. The specific contract for execution is concluded with the selected provider.
